Orthopaedic clinic to end agreement with Baton Rouge General

Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic will end its hospital call coverage agreement with Baton Rouge General next month.

The termination comes after BROC and the hospital were unable to create a new agreement that reflects the resources needed to serve orthopedic patients, according to an announcement from the clinic.

Physician groups form call coverage agreements with hospitals to provide care for their patients during emergencies. The termination of the agreement will take effect on Dec. 11.

BROC operates clinics on Bluebonnet Boulevard, Gonzales, Hammond, Walker and Zachary.
