A lorry became stuck under a low bridge in Wigan for the third time in just nine days Wednesday afternoon (November 12).
The large HGV appeared to strike the low railway bridge on Gathurst Road after coming from the direction of Shevington.
Pictures taken by witnesses appear to show how the cab became wedged beneath the 3.6 metre high bridge. Police closed off the road at around 3.45pm before recovery vehicles were drafted in to assist. The road was still closed four hours later.
