KINGSTON — Founded on a mission to build a resilient regional food system that ensures dignified access to healthy, nutritious food through collaboration, education, research, and community outreach, the Food Dignity Movement on Wednesday was named the recipient of a $25,000 grant from the Millennium Circle members to support its efforts.

“The Members of the Millennium Circle have spoken, and this year’s grant recipient is the Food Dignity Movement,” said C. David Pedri, president and CEO at the Luzerne Foundation. “Food Dignity is dedicated to advancing local and regional agriculture and strengthening food security through sustainable economic and nutritional initiatives.”

The other four finalists for the grant were:

• Volunteers in Medicine
