Ms Bartel is the first woman in CfG’s history to hold the position of chair, and replaces Clive Pugh, who served as chair for six years.
As executive director of strategic partnerships at Deakin University, she brings more than 25 years’ experience across corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors, with expertise in strategy and risk, stakeholder engagement, commercialisation and governance.
A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Ms Bartel has served as deputy chair for the past four years.
She is passionate about regional resilience
