WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The West Monroe Police Department arrested a Ouachita Parish teacher who is accused of pinching a kid.

The WMPD arrested Jlon Prosser on Wednesday afternoon on one count of simple battery.

According to arrest records, WMPD was called to Riverbend Elementary about a battery complaint. Records show the alleged incident happened on Nov. 10.

WMPD said Prosser admitted to pinching the child in a playful manner intended to get the child’s attention.

Ouachita Parish Schools released a statement on Facebook about Prosser’s arrest.
