LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Milder nights and warm afternoons are ahead late this week though rain chances will stay low for now.
Thanks to southerly winds, we are done with the truly frigid air for now. Temperatures Thursday will start in the mid/upper 50’s in the morning and then warm to near 80 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
Friday looks very similar with temperatures and a southerly breeze that will be in place.
Most afternoons will hold steady in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees and will feel a touch warmer with the humidity returning. As of now, rain chances look low with the weekend trending drier as the timing of the front continues to slow. If there were to be rain, it would be limited to maybe a stray shower or sprinkle.
