PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A Valentine’s Day armed robbery ended with a plea deal and a prison term for both men involved, according to the Peoria County State’s Attorney.
The first suspect, 25-year-old Anthony Morris, entered his guilty plea in Peoria County Court Wednesday.
Officers were called to Lexington Hills apartment complex on Feb. 14. When the victims opened the door, they were met by two men, one armed.
Police said that armed man was identified as Morris. He pushed the door open, forced himself inside, and held a gun to the head of someone inside, demanding their phone, keys, credit card and jacket.
In exchange to Morris pleading guilty to aggravated robbery, other charges were dropped. He faces up to 12 years in prison in January.
