CAMDEN, S.C. (WIS) - A Kershaw County man has been convicted and sentenced for his role in a 2023 home invasion in Camden.
The Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office said a jury found Troy Douglas Jenkins guilty of two counts of kidnapping, armed robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime on Nov. 7.
He was later sentenced to 465
Prosecutors said Jenkins broke into a downtown Camden home on Feb. 19, 2023 , and attacked an elderly couple in the home with a knife, injuring the man and then demanded money before leaving the house once the man grabbed his firearm.
He then fled the scene before being detained by officers with the Camden Police Department and Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office after a brief foot chase.
