TYLER, Texas — As a House vote to possibly end the government shutdown looms, U.S. Rep. Nathaniel Moran says he plans on voting in favor of the Senate bill while also blaming Democrat lawmakers for delaying a deal that he says could've been reached sooner.
After 43 days of the shutdown, the House will consider the bill Wednesday that the Senate passed Monday night to reopen the government. President Donald Trump called the bill a “very big victory." The bill would fund the government through Jan. 30, 2026 and not include version of the Affordable Care Act subsidies that Democrats were asking for, according to the Associated Press.
