The NRL community is heartbroken after it was revealed that 19-year-old South Sydney youngster Johannes Logan had tragically died.

Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly informed Logan’s teammates personally about the shattering news on Tuesday morning, and the club issued a statement on Wednesday.

It was later confirmed that Logan had died by suicide.

Logan was a talented sportsman and a schoolboy champion at St Joseph’s College in Hunters Hill.

He played in the first XV rugby team, first water polo team, was captain of the senior swimming team, as well as representing New South Wales in rugby.

In 2025 he joined the Rabbitohs’ pathways program.
