NEW YORK (WBNG) - The Business Council of New York State shared a report on its findings on the early impacts of tariffs imposed by the White House this year.
A survey of council members indicated that, for 88% of respondents, tariffs have impacted their ability to do business in some form.
53% of respondents said that tariffs continue to be a significant concern for their business.
According to Patrick Bailey, Director of Communications for the Business Council of New York State, the increased expense of tariffs could be passed on to consumers.
“Ultimately, I think it’s the consumer here who’s going to pay for it because when businesses get an increased cost a lot of times they can’t eat those costs, particularly if they’re larger impact,” he said. “So, I think the consumers are the o
