LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - Two people are dead following a crash on Highway 77 south of Lincoln on Wednesday.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies, the Nebraska State Patrol and emergency personnel were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 77 and Hallam Road at 4 p.m.
Capt. John Vik said a preliminary investigation indicates a northbound F-150 collided with a westbound Buick that had entered the intersection.
Vik said one of the occupants in the Buick died at the scene, and another was taken to the hospital where they later died.
The driver in the F-150 was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
