MADISON (WKOW) — A man was arrested Wednesday after police said a bullet fired from his gun punctured a water pipe and triggered an apartment building's sprinkler alarm system.
Kyle S. Estock, 23, was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
Madison police said they were called to an apartment complex on the 100 block of South Fair Oaks around 2:38 a.m. after members of the Madison Fire Department found a bullet struck the ceiling and damaged a water pipe.
The punctured water pipe triggered the building's water sprinkler alarm. Police said no one was hurt but there was a significant amount of water damage to the apartment complex.
Estock was taken to the Dane County Jail.
