AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Search and recovery efforts continue in Jamaica two weeks after Hurricane Melissa struck the island.

Officials are reporting at least 45 people killed and expect the death toll to rise as they reach other affected areas.

Despite the federal government shutdown, volunteers across the United States are organizing relief efforts for the Caribbean nation.
