Casey Gould's heart stopped right after giving birth, and she recently reunited with the medical care team at Atrium Medical Center that saved her life, accompanied by her 1-year-old son, Archer. The last time Casey and Archer were at the hospital, she had flatlined.

Dr. Amer Sayed explained that Gould had a rare condition called postpartum cardiomyopathy, noting that even with the best care, more than half of patients don't survive.
