You can help feed families this holiday by donating at the Kroger checkout.
On Wednesday, NBC 5 and Kroger stores across North Texas kicked off the Fighting Hunger/End Hunger Here campaign. It encourages Kroger shoppers to donate at the checkout to help feed families this holiday.
“At point of checkout, they can round up one, three, or ten dollars to donate to the End Hunger Here campaign,” Kroger’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs Shayna Barrett said. “This is needed more than ever, I believe. Really, just to get our food banks ahead of the holiday season and really help support the communities.”
The campaign got a little starter dough with a $10,000 donation from Duffy’s Dough, a charitable bread company started by actors Linda Purl and Patrick Duffy. “This is why we started
