SUNY New Paltz earned four selections to the SUNY Athletic Conference field hockey all-star team.

First-team picks are senior midfielder Meghan Gunning of Port Jefferson Station; senior defender Madeline Meyer of Halfmoon; and, senior forward Rachel Tama of Hopewell Junction and John Jay High School. A second-team pick went to sophomore defender Sophia Bronzi of Hopewell Junction and Arlington High School.

Tama led the Hawks with 29 points, with eight goals and three of those going for game-winners. Gunning saw action in 19 matches, with two goals an five assists. Bronzi and Meyer played in 18 matches, leading a defense that allowed 29 goals for the season.

New Paltz went 4-1 in SUNYAC action, placing second to Salisbury, and 10-9 overall after losing its final four games. The Hawks bow
