WASHINGTON D.C., DC — On Wednesday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted on a bill to reopen the federal government, and President Donald Trump signed it to end the longest shutdown in American history.

Even so, the top Democratic demand -- an extension of expanded Affordable Care Act tax credits -- remains unresolved.

"That's a huge disappointment," said Rep. Betty McCollum, who is voting against the government funding bill along with every other Minnesota Democrat in Congress. "It's going to affect everyone's insurance premiums. It's not good for our health clinics, doctors, for our hospitals, and it's not good for so many people here in Minnesota."
