Every point you can score in your fantasy football league counts as we get into the second half of the season, and sometimes you can find more than a few of those points by knowing how to eyeball the right kicker and place him in your lineup. Here are three kickers you should start and three you should sit this week in your fantasy league.

Start Em'

Eddy Pineiro, San Francisco 49ers: Pineiro has been the definition of boom-or-bust this year, but this week's matchup favors him. He goes against a Cardinals' defense he scored 12 fantasy points against in Week 3 behind three converted field goals, and he plays indoors at Arizona, where the Cardinals are giving up an average of 10 points per game this season.

Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks: Myers was the top-scoring fantasy kicker last week, and his fantasy numbers have turned into some of the best among kickers in the league this season over the past seven games for the Seahawks. He's scored at least nine fantasy points in six games during that stretch, and this week he'll play a Rams' defense that has given up 10 field goals to visiting kickers.

Jake Bates, Detroit Lions: Bates has a hot foot right now, coming off a strong performance against the Commanders that earned him 13 fantasy points. He'll face an Eagles' defense that has allowed over 10 fantasy points per game to visiting kickers.

Sit Em’

Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers: McManus, who has openly discussed playing with a hamstring issue this season, has missed four out of his last eight field goal attempts. He'll have to attempt to kick this week at MetLife Stadium against the Giants, where the playing surface has proven an issue before. Be safe and bench the veteran kicker this week.

Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs: Butker has not been a solid fantasy player from the jump this season, and he has managed just eight-or-fewer fantasy points over his last five games. To stack the odds against him, he travels to Mile High Stadium in Denver this week for a match-up with the Broncos. And whether it's the altitude, the Broncos' defense, or a combination of both – visiting kickers have made just six field goals and average 5.2 fantasy points per game in Denver this season.

Matt Prater, Buffalo Bills: Prater just went through his third game in four outings with three-or-fewer fantasy points, and this week he faces a Buccaneers' defense that has done a decent job at limiting field goal opportunities on the road. Give Prater a week off, and don't risk this one.
