Plans for a $3 million upgrade at Abbeville Park in Mindarie are moving forward, with construction of a new sports amenities building set to begin in January.

Stage one of the project includes building changerooms, a referees’ room, a first aid room and a storeroom.

The City of Wanneroo is expected to award a contract for this stage of the project to Osborne Park-based construction company Orixon, at its next ordinary council meeting.

An amount of $471,424 has been allocated in the city’s 2025-26 capital works budget for this stage of the project, with completion expected around September 2026.
