The Los Angeles Dodgers trudged through the regular season with seemingly constant pitching injuries and an unreliable bullpen.
Although the pitching roster woes were reminiscent of the season prior, one that also ended with a World Series ring, the 2024-25 offseason was dedicated to fortifying the amount of available arms and adding support to a bullpen that had no clear-cut closer. All-Star reliever Tanner Scott presented a tantalizing option to fill that role, and after coming off a 1.75 ERA season, he was inked to a four-year, $72 million deal.

The result was an MLB-leading 10 blown saves, his highest ERA since 2021 (4.74), and a surrounding bullpen that failed to live up to expectations.
