A Boston firefighter accused of child trafficking , assault and battery and rape of the same child over six years has been placed on department leave.
James Corbett, 60, of Brockton, was arraigned Tuesday in the West Roxbury Division of Boston Municipal Court, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
He faces one count of trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude, two counts of aggravated rape of a child, two counts of rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child 14 or over.
Corbett is a member of the Boston Fire Department who earned $262,086.18 in 2024, city records show.
