BLOOMINGTON — The Indiana basketball team pulled away late in the second half on Wednesday night in a 101-70 win over Milwaukee.
The Hoosiers (3-0) have won all three games they've played this season by 20-plus points. They had four starters in double-digits with IU's backcourt taking center stage — Lamar Wilkerson had a game-high 24 points with five 3-pointers and Tayton Conerway had 21 points and team-high six assists.
Conerway endeared himself to the crowd at Assembly Hall with a hustle play late in the game that saw him diving head first into IU's bench to force a turnover.
It wasn’t pretty at times with IU’s defensive intensity lagging behind what it was in the team’s first two games. The Panthers also cleaned up on the boards with 13 offensive rebounds and 10 second-chance point
