Alpena apartment fire contained to single room by fire department

ALPENA — The Alpena City Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at 716 Lockwood at 7:34 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames, confining the fire to the original room and minimizing damage to the multi-family apartment.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
