TACOMA, Wash. — In 1979 and 1980, the Mount Tahoma T-Birds won back to back state football titles and went 24-0 over the two seasons.
This season, the T-Birds have their best chance to get back to the title game for the first time in 45 years.
Since arriving at Mount Tahoma, Head Coach Keith Terry has helped put the T-Birds back on the map. In 2023, Mount Tahoma ended their 39-year playoff drought. This season, their 10-0 for the first time since 1980.
"I've been here for all my 4 years and like in the beginning we, we were not good like straight up we were, we're not that good. And Coach Terry he really built this thing from the bottom up," said Shan Jones.
