The White House on Wednesday defended President Donald Trump, insisting he “did nothing wrong" in his past interactions with Jeffrey Epstein, after Democrats released newly surfaced emails suggesting Trump may have been aware of the financier’s abuse of minors.
“Jeffrey Epstein was a member at Mar-a-Lago until President Trump kicked him out because Jeffrey Epstein was a pedophile and a creep," Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. “These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong."
The denial came as House Democrats on Tuesday released a fresh batch of emails referencing Trump, drawn from thousands of documents handed over by the Epstein estate and now under congressional review, the BBC reported.
