A Nowra man with what a magistrate described as a "long, sad history" of property offences has been jailed after admitting to a string of break and enters across the Shoalhaven.
Robert John Wright, 51, of Jervis Street, Nowra, appeared before Nowra Local Court via audio-visual link on Tuesday, November 11, for sentencing.
Wright pleaded guilty to two counts of break, enter and steal, one of entering a dwelling with intent to steal, larceny, common assault, possessing a small quantity of a prohibited plant, and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Magistrate David Williams noted Wright had previously served multiple jail terms for similar offending, with police documents revealing he had 76 prior convictions related to break-ins, drugs, property and assault matters.
