SHREVEPORT, La. - A new wave of improvements is coming to one of Shreveport's busiest gateway entrances into the city.
Monkhouse Drive is one of the first corridors visitors see when they travel to and from the Shreveport Regional Airport. The Monkhouse Drive Revitalization Project will improve the half-mile stretch of road between SHV and Interstate 20.
"We're very excited to make sure this is going to be a lovely area, a lovely gateway for our city of Shreveport," said Mayor Tom Arceneaux.
Shreveport community and business leaders want to leave a lasting first impression on visitors when they fly in and out of town. The project will focus on improving the area to reflect a safer, more modern city.
