Pittsburgh Mayor-elect Corey O'Connor has announced his pick for the city's next police chief.
A source first told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 on Wednesday that O'Connor would nominate Jason Lando. On Thursday, that nomination became official. Advertisement
"We wanted to name a full-time chief of police immediately, because public safety is a major priority of our administration and also, it's our job to protect our residents," O'Connor said as he introduced Lando.
