Sean 'Diddy' Combs' prison release date has been pushed back by nearly a month.
The rapper, who is behind bars at New Jersey's FCI Fort Dix serving a 50-month sentence for his conviction on prostitution charges, was originally scheduled for release on 8 May 2028.
However, the Bureau of Prisons' website now shows an anticipated release date of 4 June 2028.
A reason for the change was not made clear, and the BOP cannot currently be reached for comment due to the ongoing government shutdown in the US.
The update comes days after Combs' representative denied a report that claimed the Bad Boy Records founder, who has been incarcerated since September 2024, had created and consumed alcohol in prison.
A spokesperson for Fort Dix at the time said, "We have no knowledge of this information. Further, we would not be able to disclose any information pertaining to internal inmate matters."
In a letter to the judge ahead of his sentencing, Combs claimed to have become sober "for the first time in 25 years". Lawyers also noted that he had been attending therapy and had started a mentorship program for his fellow inmates.
Combs' lawyers plan to appeal his conviction, according to a notice of appeal filed with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on 20 October.
Combs, who has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, is still facing upwards of 70 civil lawsuits across the country.
