Kupwara : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Wednesday presented cheques worth Rs. 1 lakh each to the Next of Kin (NoK) of two individuals who tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents, under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund.

The sanction for financial assistance to the families was approved by a five-member committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner, which includes the ARTO, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Account Officer to the DC Office, and Deputy SP Traffic.

The J&K Road Accident Victim Fund 2022 aims to provide swift financial relief to the dependents and legal heirs of those killed or injured in road accidents involving passenger and private vehicles.
