Jacinta Allan has repeatedly refused to put her job on the line as part of the Victorian government’s youth crime crackdown.
Premier Allan faced a tense grilling from reporters on Thursday as the Victorian government announced tough new measures to target criminals who recruit kids to commit crime.
She announced the offence of recruiting a child to engage in a violent offence would increase from 10 to 15 years, while a new aggravated offence will be created with a maximum life sentence.
The announcement came one day after the Victorian government took inspiration from the Queensland LNP with its own “adult time for violent crime” policy.
