Tavin Timperley of Prairie is The Columbian 2025-26 Week 8 high school athlete of the week, sponsored by Killer Burger.

Timperley picked up 264 of the 650 votes cast this week to win the honor.

The sophomore ran away with the 3A district title in Kelso, covering the 2.95-mile course in 15:18.

In the included video, Timperley answers three questions posed by his teammate: Does he prefer pancakes or waffles, never again attend math or English class and are babies dressed as animals weirder than animals dressed as babies?
