Overall, the district received an “A” grade from the Arizona Department of Education; 92% of students graduate, which shows teachers are keeping them engaged and moving forward.
And yet … a public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Coronado High School, 7501 E. Virginia Ave. “”to obtain public comment regarding the potential closure and repurposing of Echo Canyon K-8 School and Pima Elementary School,” according to the agenda.
As SUSD Superintendent Scott Menzel put it, “The hearing on the Nov. 13 is to provide an opportunity for members of the community to weigh in on the proposed repurposing.”
