After a nearly flawless regular season, Plateau Valley High School’s volleyball program has established themselves among the best the state has to offer in Class 1A.
The 22-1 Cowboys are primed for their return to the state tournament, which begins today, after defeating Eads 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-22 last weekend to win the 1A Region 11 tournament. The state tournament appearance will be Plateau Valley’s second in the past three years — the only two times Plateau Valley has played in the state volleyball tournament in more than two decades.
The 11th-seeded Cowboys start their state tournament journey at 11 a.m. today against sixth-seeded Stratton at the Denver Coliseum. The winner of the contest will advance to take on
