The Union Cabinet is likely to approve a ₹25,000 crore Export Promotion Mission (EPM) aimed at boosting India’s outbound trade, according to CNBC Awaaz . The mission will have two key components — Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha.
Under Niryat Protsahan, the government is expected to announce interest equalisation support worth over ₹5,000 crore to help exporters access cheaper credit.
Niryat Disha will focus on improving export quality compliance, overseas market development and branding, along with strengthening warehousing, logistics and capacity-building infrastructure.
In addition, the Cabinet may approve the rationalisation of royalty rates for minerals such as graphite, caesium and zirconium. It is also likely to clear the initial public offering (IPO) of India Infrastructure
