The Portland Winterhawks suffer their toughest loss of the season to date. Up 2-0 over the East Division-leading Prince Albert Raiders in the 3rd period, they lose the lead thanks to a controversial non-offside call on the tying goal. Then Brayden Dube, who was offside on that tying goal, scores the winner with 1:55 left.
It’s the Winterhawks fourth loss in a row, the last two in tough circumstances, with their tying goal on Saturday being (correctly) waved off. It’s a hard pill to swallow, as an upset looked to be in the cards for much of the game.
