The Union Cabinet has approved the ₹25,060 crore Export Promotion Mission to strengthen India’s export competitiveness, with Ashwini Vaishnaw explaining that all progress in India-US trade talks has been factored into the decision. The mission will run till 2030–31 and includes two schemes — Niryat Protsahan for affordable trade finance and Niryat Disha for branding, compliance, logistics and market readiness. The Cabinet also cleared ₹20,000 crore for expanding the credit guarantee scheme, enabling collateral-free credit for MSMEs and non-MSME exporters. Vaishnaw said the move will unlock liquidity, support diversification, and help India stay on track for its $1 trillion export target despite global disruptions and US punitive tariffs.
