One of Australia’s most popular tourist hot spots has been transformed into the US city of San Diego for Chris Hemsworth ’s new movie Subversion.

The Hollywood A-lister and Byron Bay local was seen on the Gold Coast , filming aboard a party boat near the Southport Yacht Club.

The actor, who rose to fame on Channel 7’s Home and Away , was once again seen in the tan floral button-up shirt and dark trousers he wore during his last sighting in mid-October.

Crew members lined the area with American flags and prop emergency vehicles to recreate a Californian setting along the waterfront.
