AKRON, Ohio — A man accused of fleeing from police after stealing a car from a convenience store parking lot Tuesday ended up crashing into another vehicle, seriously injuring him and another driver, police say.

The suspect, Brandon Davis, 27, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, according to police. Police say he had eight active warrants from multiple jurisdictions at the time of his arrest.

A news release says police were called to a Circle K on the 1600 block of East Avenue at 3:14 p.m. A man told police his car had been stolen after he left it running while inside the Circle K.

Moments later, an officer spotted the stolen car as it was pulling into a parking lot on the 1300 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard. The officer tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver instead
