If you’ve worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you might live in Colby, Kansas, comedian Jeff Foxworthy has joked about the fast-changing nature of the weather in that area.
Colby, a community of about 5,500 people in northwest Kansas, is the snowiest city with more than 5,000 people in the Sunflower State, said a list published last month on the HomeSnacks website.
HomeSnacks says it presents data from the U.S. Census, FBI, OpenStreetMaps and dozens of other sources in rankings compiled to educate readers about life in communities across the country.

HomeSnacks published a list last month identifying the 10 Kansas cities with populations of 5,000 or more it said “get dumped on” the most annually in terms of snowfall.
