The Frederick County Planning Commission voted on Wednesday to recommend that the County Council reduce the buffer zone distances surrounding cannabis dispensaries.
Cannabis dispensaries in the county are currently required to be at least 1,500 feet away from schools, parks, libraries, playgrounds, recreation centers, childcare centers, places of worship and family childcare homes, according to the text of the county Bill No. 25-12 .
