BROADVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Broadview has been at the heart of "Operation Midway Blitz."

On Thursday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Laura McNally and a small group visited the detention center followin an emergency ruling last week that required the Department of Homeland Security to improve conditions for detainees after it was accused in court of having poor conditions.

The small group included the judge and representatives from both the government and the plaintiffs, including the ACLU. The inspection started just before 11 a.m.m and their goal was to see what it's like inside.

DHS has denied any claims that there are subprime conditions at the Broadview facility.
