On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Apple announced the launch of its new Digital ID.

According to a press release from the company, the Digital ID will allow users to create an ID in Apple Wallet using information from their U.S. passport. Once set up, users can securely present their identity using the privacy features built into their iPhone or Apple Watch.
