RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Iconic ballerina and world-renowned dancer Misty Copeland made a high-profile appearance Thursday as part of the Women Lead NC 2025 Conference.

It marks one of her first public appearances since announcing her retirement from the professional stage earlier this month.

Thousands of women across North Carolina attended the conference, which ran from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Raleigh Convention Center.

The exciting and formative event brings women together from all across the state to learn from their peers and find ways to elevate their businesses or leadership.
