In one of his sharpest political attacks yet, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on November 13 accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi and his family of “working like agents of Pakistan’s ISI,” alleging that their silence on terrorism and Pakistan-related issues was deliberate and motivated.

Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said, “Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi is a Pakistani ISI agent. His wife is a complete agent, and he is a lesser one — and we have evidence to prove the same. As the Chief Minister of Assam, I want to say that Gaurav Gogoi is with Pakistan, and his entire family is working like Pakistani ISI agents. Hence, he cannot criticise the Pakistani government.”
