All four of Iowa's Republican U.S. House lawmakers voted with a majority of their party on a funding deal to end the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history.

The House's 222-209 vote late Wednesday, Nov. 12, sent the package to the desk of President Donald Trump, who signed it , ending the record-breaking shutdown that began Oct. 1 . Six Democrats broke ranks to vote for the funding bill, while two Republicans voted against it.
