Second-seeded West Deptford will make its first sectional finals appearance since 2015 after defeating defending champions and third-seeded Haddonfield 3-1 in the South Jersey, Group 2 semifinals in Westville.

Lexi Varela gave West Deptford (14-5-1) a 1-0 lead in the first half before Simko made it 2-0 in the second.

Brianna McKeever showed some heroics when she stopped a penalty shot to keep it a two-goal game.

Simko put the game out of reach with another goal to make it 3-0 and moved the Eagles one step closer to its first sectional title since 2013.

West Deptford remained one of the hottest teams in South Jersey, winning 10 straight games and outscoring its opponents 51-6.

The Eagles defeated Haddonfield (9-7-5) three times this season and won the last four meetings.
