Shocking new data has exposed the extent of dangerous and disruptive behaviour occurring across WA’s public housing system — with an average of 50 calls being made each day to a dedicated hotline.

But for residents living on Ninth Avenue in Inglewood, those calls appear to be going unanswered.

“People being bashed. Noise. Yelling. Screaming. Windows being smashed,” one Inglewood resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

“It’s terrible. It just feels like we’re completely helpless.”

Residents and tenants inside the local housing complex say their concerns are being ignored, despite making repeated complaints.

“They start a report and then they had someone contact me and she basically just said that nothing could be done,” the resident said.
