Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has admitted it'll be 'really sad' when her character finds out the truth about her mother's deception.

Fans of the ITV soap are aware that the actress made her debut in the role of Betsy Swain last summer, marking her first big TV role.

Her portrayal of the teenager has earned her great praise from viewers, and she's currently central to another big storyline following the unexpected return of her mum, Becky Swain.

It was fair to say that Betsy's other mum, Lisa Swain was shocked when Becky turned up in the living room of her new family home, No.6 Coronation Street, on their daughter, Betsy's, 18th birthday back in September.
